Reviewing the US Stock Unlimited
Purchase Act
Lately, I've been occupied with work and
blogging, leaving little time for journaling. However, I've been actively
investing in stocks and adopting a buy-and-hold strategy. It's been an
interesting journey, filled with ups and downs.
Let's begin with Apple (AAPL). As an
iPhone and MacBook user, I couldn't resist investing in Apple. Is it merely an
Apple craze? While Samsung's market share has been declining, Apple has been
exploring banking opportunities. I've held onto Apple for a long time,
continuously adding to my position. Finally, it has risen enough to aim for its
previous peak. Witnessing this growth, I can't help but feel emotional. Apple's
steady rise has truly been a blessing.
Moving on to Amazon (AMZN), I couldn't
help but compare it to Coupang, a popular Korean e-commerce platform.
Ultimately, I decided to invest in Amazon due to its global reach. Similar to
Apple, Amazon has been steadily rising. I wonder if I could even double my
investment in the future.
Google (GOOC) had its fair share of
controversies, especially when their AI chatbot gave incorrect answers. The
media tends to exaggerate such incidents, but Google remains a dominant force
with Google Adsense and YouTube revenue streams. The fall in its stock price
seemed unjustified to me, so I took advantage of the dips and continued to buy.
The outcome? Impressive returns.
Now let's discuss Nvidia (NVDA). With
the decrease in demand for gaming and mining cryptocurrencies, I had concerns
about the company's future. However, the rise of AI applications, such as
ChatGPT and WebUI, requiring powerful graphics cards, fueled Nvidia's growth.
As I delved into WebUI installation and usage, I realized the importance of a
good graphics card. Fortunately, my investment in Nvidia paid off.
While stocks like Apple, Amazon, Google,
and Nvidia have shown promising performance, there are others that haven't
fared as well. Take Coupang (CPNG), for example. Despite its strong market
presence and consistent profitability, the stock has been on a downward spiral.
It's disheartening to witness such a decline, especially when I consider
alternative investment choices.
investing in interesting
stocks can be rewarding, but it's crucial to diversify and avoid dog stocks.
I've adopted a strategy of buying and holding blue-chip stocks in the US, which
has proven to be fruitful. Given my time constraints, long-term investing is
challenging, and attempting to make significant returns can result in
substantial losses. However, the US tech blue-chip stocks I've invested in have
shown impressive growth. If the market index reaches its previous peak, the
potential for further gains is exciting.
